The Easter Egg that Mama & Chunchun Made
Chunchun came back from school one day with a note from her teacher that we had to do 'homework' together with her: to make an Easter Egg. So Mama and Chunchun made one (Papa made one too- by pasting scotchtape over some egg-shaped plastic containers, and drawing a face on the scotchtape- in the end it was felt that Mama's egg was better looking).
Mama pasted colourful pieces of paper and drew a face (Chunchun drew the nose). Chunchun was pleased with her ballerina Easter Egg and called her Miss Tan (she did not give a first name)... The next day we took some photos of the egg before she took it to Show and Tell at school.
Mama secretly told me later that she peeked into Chunchun's class and felt that our egg was one of the better looking ones (yes don't argue with us about this)...

Holiday Inn- 18 & 19 Mar
We had a mini-holiday of our own during the one-week school holiday break in Mar. We went away and stayed in Holiday Inn Parkview, which is just beside Centrepoint. We packed quite last minute (even had to take Chunchun to see the dentist on the morning we set off, because she had some gum-ache), checked in early (12pm) and checked out late (4pm) the next day. The room and hotel was very comfortable- we even had access to the Executive Lounge which you could basically pop in anytime to take food and drinks. We also enjoyed the swimming pool on the rooftop, the jacuzzi and the gym (Mama only). We also scouted over to nearby Killiney Kopitiam (we ate at a coffeeshop beside it) for lunch and Cold Stone at Orchard Central after dinner, and also had complimentary drinks after that. The next morning we all gobbled down our breakfast buffet at the hotel's cafe. It was a really nice experience!
Botanic Gardens- 13 Mar & 3 Apr 2011
We like going to Botanic Gardens... especially since we've discovered the outdoor concerts which happen on the weekends. Here are pictures from two recent visits. The kids like the outdoors, because they get to roam and run around (For the last picture, Luixing was looking at some adults playing frisbee..) and we like the music and the chance to picnic!
